Morning walks
Just after NYC shut down in April of 2020, I realized I had to get out of the house and since this was the first time that I had ever been able to work remotely, I found it was the perfect opportunity to get up early and go for a run before anyone else was out roaming around. I have no desire to make my writing about politics since I get enough of that rammed down my throat in the daily news, but I want to put this here for my own reference to be able to easily look back on over the coming four years. Welcome 2025!
One of my previous yoga teachers gave all of her students a blank journal with a note that the year is like the journal, blank and ready to be written, so write it well. I hope to do so in 2025. As many may know, while there were joys in 2024 there was a lot more heartache for my family. Hoping that this year is devoid of anything like last year brought. Moving into fall
Fall, autumn, is my very favorite season. I don’t know if it is a result of fond memories of going back to school (yes, I was one of those kids that always loved school) or whether it is the beautiful colors that come along with the season, or if it is that I know that I’ll be able to start to make all of the slow simmering, roasting foods that signal the coming of cooler weather.
